November 19, 2014 Dental News and Events

As the end of the year is quickly approaching, we want to remind you to use any unused insurance or flexible spending account benefits before they expire. Your policy most likely allows for an annual dollar amount of dental treatment, (often between $1500 – $2000) but if you don’t use your coverage by December 31st, you will dollar-signlose that money forever. The dental insurance benefits that you paid for do not carry over to the next year. If you have a flexible spending account for healthcare, that usually expires on December 31st also.

If you currently have needed treatment, or if you’re just due for a dental hygiene visit, it is important to for you to come in for your dental and overall health. Dental problems tend to get worse over time, so we would like to encourage you to take full advantage of your insurance benefits and call Christina at our front desk at (651) 322-7373 to schedule an appointment now. To help you get the treatment you need, our office will do a complimentary benefit check for you, and we will submit all paperwork to your insurance company for you. Taking care of this now allows you to get the treatment you need while maximizing the benefits you still have. We are concerned about keeping your out of pocket costs to a minimum and it would be a shame to lose that money forever.

Although our treatment suggestions for you are always based on your needs and are never dictated by what your insurance policy pays, our experience has shown that careful planning can help you maximize your benefits. Our goal for each patient is to help you enjoy good oral and overall health, and to maintain an attractive smile. We want to provide the necessary treatment that will enhance the quality of your life and take full advantage of insurance coverage for which you have already paid. You may also have something in your smile that you would like to change, and we are here to help.

Surprisingly, many patients with dental insurance and flexible spending accounts lose thousands of dollars each year because they don’t use their benefits before they expire. Each year insurance companies make millions of dollars on these patients by keeping their unused insurance dollars as profit. The bottom line: What the patients do not use, they lose. We do not want this to happen to you. Give us a call today and together we will make sure you are in excellent dental health.

We look forward to seeing you again and sharing some of the new ways we have available to provide you with superior dental healthcare.
